Privacy Policy
What we don’t do
The app has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. We never ask children for personal information.
Data stored on your device
Your settings, listening progress, downloaded stories, the tips you’ve already seen and your voice recordings all stay on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers. Deleting the app deletes them too.
Microphone
The microphone is used only after you give permission. In interactive stories, it listens for your child’s puffs of air and claps. These are measured as loudness on the device, and nothing is recorded or saved. The voice recording feature captures story lines spoken by parents and children. Those recordings stay on your own device, are never uploaded to our servers and are never shared. You can delete them under For Parents → Recordings, and you can turn the microphone off under For Parents → Settings.
Camera
The camera is used only when you tap the button to add a photo of a finished coloring page. The photo is used on the device to work out the colors your child chose, then it’s thrown away. It isn’t saved or uploaded to our servers. The colors themselves stay on your own device.
Motion sensing
When an interactive story asks you to shake the device, the app reads its movement. This is handled on the device and isn’t saved or uploaded.
Membership purchases
Subscription payments are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we never see your payment details. Membership status is managed by RevenueCat, which receives only a randomly generated anonymous ID and your purchase records.
Device data
To limit how many devices can use one membership, the app stores some details about this device on our servers once you become a member: a device ID, the model name (such as “iPad (10th generation)”), the platform, the times it was first and last used, and your membership ID. The device ID is a random ID created by the app, or on Android an identifier the system gives to this app. Either way, it goes through a one-way conversion before it’s sent, and it’s neither a serial number nor an advertising ID. We use this data only to count your devices and list them under For Parents → Devices. We don’t use it for tracking or advertising, and we don’t give it to anyone else. When a device is removed, its record is kept for 30 more days so we can count how many removals happened in that time, and then it’s deleted. Records for devices not used in over a year are also deleted, and all of them are deleted when you delete your account.
Sign-in
If you choose to sign in with Apple, Google or LINE, we receive only the account ID from that service, plus your email if you agree to share it. We use this so you can use the same membership across your phones and tablets. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
Network connections
The app connects to our content servers to download stories and update the story catalog. Those servers may keep standard connection logs (IP address and time). We use these only for maintenance and security, not to identify you.
For children
The app is made for parents to enjoy stories with their children. Purchases, settings and external links all sit behind a parental gate.
Changes to this policy
If we make major changes to this policy, we’ll let you know in the app.
Contact us
The app is provided by the Little Bo Pup Stories development team. If you haven’t signed in and aren’t a member, our servers hold no data about you. If you have signed in or become a member, they hold only what’s described under “Sign-in” and “Device data” above, and you can write to us to see it or delete it.
